The Jasper Volunteer Fire Department has been serving Northern Jasper County since 1930. The department continues to grow as today we have 33 volunteers, 12 apparatus, 2 stations and answer hundreds of calls for service each year. The department covers 95 square miles of territory that houses approximately 10,000 people.

The department responds to emergency calls for electrical, grass/brush/woods and structure fires. Along with controlled burns, landing zones, motor vehicle accidents, storm-related incidents, traffic control for all local law enforcement agencies and many other calls. The department holds weekly meetings at Station 1 to discuss updates, events, and issues that need resolutions.

We believe in strong relationships and mutual aid agreements with our local ESD #4 that consist of East End Volunteer Fire Department, Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Lake Rayburn Volunteer Fire Department, Angelina River Volunteer Fire Department and Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department
