City Council met with City Staff in a workshop on June 24, 2025 at noon to discuss the preliminary proposed Fiscal Year Budget 2026. The objective in this workshop was to present to Council preliminary data for the upcoming year and for City Staff to answer questions and gain input from Council as to their goals and visions for the upcoming fiscal year.

The proposed preliminary budget work is a work in progress with some of the figures likely changing as new data is received. This is especially true with any information regarding the property tax rate since all data has not been received from the Jasper County Appraisal District and the Jasper County Tax Office. That information should be received by the City in early August.
