       2013 Christmas in the Park

Hello Everyone,

It’s getting time to start thinking about     Christmas in the Park for 2013    .  Jasper’s Christmas in the Park Festival will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Sandy Creek Park.

As you may have seen last year’s decoration we lined both sides of the park with beautiful decorations (set pieces) sponsored by various businesses, churches, organizations, individuals, etc. to the Peachtree Bridge.

We are hoping to extend this year’s decorations all the way to the Main Street Bridge.  With your help this might be the year that we go all the way.  If you or any member of your family, business, civic group, church, club or even just a group of close friends would like to participate and sponsor a decoration, we would like to help you become a  “real” part of the  Christmas in the Park  festival.

The City of Jasper can order, store, set-up, place a sponsorship or memory sign in front of the decoration and then take it down and store it until next year.  We have websites and catalogs in which you can find the perfect piece for you in your price range and your preference of decoration.   The City can order and purchase the item for you and then we will invoice you for the item only, (the City will pay for any shipping and handling costs,) or you may shop on your own and purchase an item to be placed in the park with your name as a sponsor in front of it or a sign in Memory or In Honor of.  The City will continue to put the piece out in the park each year for the life of the decoration set piece.  The set piece lights must be  LED .  If you are interested in purchasing or sponsoring a piece for this year’s   Christmas in the Park  , please contact myself or Debbie Foster and we will be glad to help you choose a piece perfect for you.  We have a deadline of September 1, 2013 for ordering any piece to be placed in the park this year.  We hope you will help us fill up the Sandy Creek Park walking path.  My number is 409-383-6107.

Thank you,

Denise Kelley

Director of Finance & Budget
